Mac Seelig, the Founder and President of AC Coin & Slot, is an entrepreneur who had the foresight to predict the growing need to provide quality service and creative products to the then incipient Atlantic City casino industry.
Having previously founded The Globe Vending Company in 1969 with his wife, Kay, Mac recognized early on the value of what his family brought to the business. With strong support from all family members, Globe Vending grew from a small
company with only seven machines to a company with over 1000 machines. (Today, Globe is owned and managed by Mrs. Seelig and is one of the largest woman/minority owned businesses in the area.)
Applying his family's support and business savvy to his ambition to fulfill a need in an industry that was fast becoming a major force in Atlantic City, Mac and his three sons consistently added staff, talent, and technology to grow AC Coin & Slot into the successful company it is today. Under his stewardship, AC Coin & Slot became a distributor of IGT slot machines and since Mac's primary focus was to enhance his customers' success, he has promoted the sale of IGT slot machines, signs, proprietary games throughout
U.S., the Caribbean, and Canada through his expansive and long-term relationships with members of the casino industry. Having built a successful business with an unblemished reputation, he continues to uncover new opportunities within
the gaming industry that will appeal to manufacturers, casinos, and players alike.
By the early 1990s, AC Coin & Slot expanded its product representation and territories, opening offices in Las Vegas, NV, Biloxi, MS, Aventura, FL, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Chicago, IL. They also introduced new products to include signs, slot stools, and prop games.
It's perhaps fitting that Mr. Seelig has such an entrepreneurial spirit. He is the son of former World Champion prizefighter Eric Seelig and wife Greta, a former Olympic hurdler. A letter from Adolf Hitler ordered Eric to leave Germany and Greta was kept from running in the 1936 Olympic games.
In 2001, the company expanded its Parts, Service & Customer Training Center to streamline service and support for its growing client base and be in a position to better service such customers as Park Place Entertainment and Resorts Atlantic
City to whom they are scheduled to supply thousands of IGT's new, proprietary EZ-Pay" ready games over the next three years.
Mac's hard work and desire for excellence carries over in his passion for powerboat racing, having won four national titles and one world championship title along with partner Joe Theismann, former Washington Redskins quarterback and long time sponsor, Harrah's Atlantic City. He and son Jason have been inducted into the Powerboat Hall of Champions.
